Curriculum Themes and Information

Please scroll down to see the curriculum themes related to different subject areas.

Our curriculum themes have been developed to motivate and engage our children while ensuring the progression of skills across each learning pathway.

Our themes are planned in a two-year cycle which ensures that pupils academic and personal skills are developed according to their need

Please note that parent/carers can withdraw their child from Religious Education Lessons.  Please see below:

Right of Withdrawal from Religious Education (RE)
  • As a special primary school, we teach Religious Education in an inclusive and respectful way, aiming to develop pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural understanding.
  • However, parents have the legal right to withdraw their children from all or part of the RE curriculum.
  • If you wish to withdraw your child, please contact the headteacher to arrange a meeting.
  • During this meeting, we will discuss the RE curriculum and the alternative arrangements for supervision for your child during RE lessons.
  • Please note that pupils may still encounter religious topics in other areas of the curriculum, such as history or personal, social, and health education (PSHE).
