A Message from the Chair of Governors

Hello and a very warm welcome from the governing body at Knowsley Central School.

We are a very committed and active governing body who play a pivotal role in the life and work of our school. As well as fulfilling our duties of supporting and challenging the Head teacher and Senior Leadership Team and monitoring activities and progress in school, we also enjoy being involved in day to day school events.

All staff and governors work together creating a safe and vibrant learning environment in which all our children can reach their potential and benefit from an exceptional standard of education.

Governors and staff celebrate every success. There is a culture of high ambition and pride in the school which is supported by the governing body.

Governors undertake their roles and responsibilities through committees.

They are:

*Full Governing Body which normally meets 3 times a year

*Sub Committees which normally meet termly

In addition to the above we have “lead governors” who undertake specific monitoring roles across school.

Ofsted said: This is a school where leaders, governors and staff work together well to provide the best possible quality of education for pupils.

We look forward to working with you as your child takes their journey through our school. ‘Everyone is a star and can shine in our learning community.’

Kind Regards
