Our Safeguarding Team

At KCS we have an experienced and supportive safeguarding team who support pupils and their families throughout their time in Knowsley Central School. We have excellent links with the LA safeguarding team and a range of external support agencies who provide training for all our staff and who work in conjunction with school to provide excellent advice & guidance.

At all other times, the Emergency Duty Team (EDT) is the ‘first point of contact’ for Children’s Social Care.

EDT can be contacted using the same number as the MASH – 0151 443 2600.

Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass is a Merseyside Police and Education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children and young people exposed to domestic abuse.

Operation Encompass is the reporting to schools before the start of the next school day when a child or young person has been involved in or exposed to a domestic incident. .
