Focus: In Class Ivy we work across two pathways which are Pre-Foundations and Foundations for our curriculum learning. Our learning activities are based around the children’s interests, learning needs and different topics each half term. Our overall primary focus is Communication and Language, Sensory Integration, forming positive relationships and developing play skills. To support us with our learning we engage in interventions such as Attention Autism, Sensory Circle Time, Intensive Interaction and Sensory Circuit. We also visit the sensory and immersive rooms each day which are wonderful spaces for our children to explore, engage and relax in too. We also use the outdoor learning environments each day where we enjoy exploring and keeping active, as well as visiting the hall each week for a PE session which is great in developing our overall physical wellbeing. We also take weekly trips to the school library for our children to explore books and develop reading skills.
