Early Years Outreach

Knowsley Central School has been commissioned to deliver an outreach service for the Early Years age range in mainstream schools across the borough.

The Early Years Outreach service provides SEND support under the 4 areas of need in the SEND Code of Practice:

• Communication and Interaction
• Cognition and Learning
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health
• Sensory and/ or Physical

Schools receive 3.5 days of support.

Support will consist of:

Knowsley Central work together with schools in a supportive process to ensure that staff within mainstream settings supporting pupils with SEND have access to relevant information which will benefit the individual setting and provide staff with appropriate CPD and resources to impact SEND pupils Early Years’ experience
