Welcome to Cherry Class

In class Cherry we have 11 children and 4 staff members: Aisling (class teacher), Jen, Shella and Shelsia (teaching assistants). 

We work across two pathways which are pre-foundation and foundation following the Engagement model which gives the children lots of opportunity to learn through a play based approach. Our learning activities are based around the children’s interests, learning needs and different topics each term. In class Cherry we enjoy messy play and sensory exploration. Our overall focus is Communication and Language, Sensory Integration, forming friendships and positive relationships. To help with our learning we engage in Intensive Interaction, Attention Austim, Sensory Circle Time and have access to a range of sensory intervention rooms around school. We use our outdoor learning space each day and love exploring and keeping active. We have weekly PE sessions where we focus on developing our Gross Motor Skills and physical wellbeing.
