In class Chestnut we have 11 pupils and 4 adults. The adults are Karen (teacher), Lou (TA), Jake (TA) and Wendy (TA). In Class Chestnut we are working on the Footsteps Pathway for our curriculum areas. Lessons are multi-sensory and have a communication focus. Children work on personalised maths and English lessons and work daily on basic skills such as fine motor skills, phonics and spelling. If necessary, children can also access intervention work such as Lego Therapy and Thriving readers. We also have access to sensory circuits, an immersive classroom and the school Library. Shared learning activities are sent home weekly as well as home reading books..
